Christina Aguilera is raising her voice in support of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's latest project.
The Associated Press reports that Wexford's own Aguilera will perform at the Sept. 25 grand-opening celebration of the museum's Lynda and Stewart Resnick Pavilion, described by LACMA as "the largest purpose-built, naturally lit, open-plan museum space in the world."
The 29-year-old pop star said she's honored to be part of fundraising for the 45,000-square-foot exhibition building, which was designed by Renzo Piano.
The gala is open to the public, with individual tickets at $5,000 to $10,000 and tables, $25,000 to $100,000.
Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie will tie the knot this weekend at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif., according to In Touch Weekly.
The actress and the Edmonton Oilers' center became engaged in February and chose the ranch where JFK and Jackie spent their honeymoon for "its sense of Old Hollywood glamour and romantic style," an insider told In Touch.
Ms. Duff, 22, and her 29-year-old husband-to-be have been taking dancing lessons for the big day.
The smash hits just keep on coming for George Michael. Make that, the crash hits.
London police say the singer, 47, was charged yesterday with possession of cannabis and with driving while unfit through drink or drugs. The charges stem from an incident last month when his car crashed into a building in an upscale residential area, the AP said.
Michael was banned from driving for two years in 2007 after pleading guilty to driving while on drugs.
